AS 2.0: Extending Intrinsic Classes

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about Grant Skinner’s rewrites of the XML and LoadVars classes, mainly to allow for true event broadcasting instead of simply using callbacks. Without talking specifics re the actual implementation, I just want to talk about an alternative to the class naming he used ( namely, XML2 and LoadVars2 ).

Please note: this is not at all to be seen as a knock on Grant - I would never presume to do that. His work and code are practically unrivalled, and he’s a great guy. This is just my take on a slightly different way of approaching the naming pattern.
