I am using CF8 running an internal Intranet. When I try to use CFMAIL and send from and to a conventional email address (ie: dirit@cksmithco.com) all works fine. However, if I try to send a an AT&T text message (ex: 123456798@txt.att.net) then CF sends enters a message in the log file this was an invalid address. The only thing I can figure is CF doesn't like the NUMERIC name or the Double Dot URL. Any ideas at all?
Thx

Stumbled on this Googling for "mutually exclusive interfaces java", wondering if there's a syntax to get those.

I'm working on a turn-based game that has all sorts of objects in it. Some of those objects implement the Serializable interface, and other objects require themselves to be changed into something serializable. My game calls these "sanitized" objects -- so, for example, we have Target, which is not serializable and is the class used by the game engine, and SanitizedTarget, which is the object the player sees.

Classes whose instances require sanitization before being sent along implement Sanitizable (which defines sanitize()). I'd love a way to force Sanitizable things to not also be Serializable.

So there you go, a "real-world" example :-)

I think that AS3 went in the right direction, strictness. But I agree that now that they have nearly perfected that system of coding, they need to think again about loosening up and adding fun and convenient shortcuts and sugar. Its the old adage "Know the rules, then you can break them". Well, we know them now.

Lol, that's really amusing. With the errors fixed, the only thing remaining is testing whether the algo actually works.

Side note: thanks for the creative ads link.

We have a great new service called www.mobozo.com it allows people to upload their chats from Omegle for the whole world to see. It's fast, easy to use

and users can sign up for an anonymous account in under 20 seconds.

Nice article, you're still kid at heart :)
